Slotenmaker Dang — Google clicks up 181% for an Antwerp locksmith
Slotenmaker Dang is a 24/7 locksmith covering Antwerp and the surrounding towns, with a 4.9-star rating from 147 Google reviews. The Dutch-language site had grown page by page: its navigation and footer were injected by JavaScript, so half of the internal links were invisible in the HTML Google reads first, eleven pages had no links pointing at them, and the blog index listed only 7 of its 42 articles. Search Console showed around 40,000 impressions stuck at positions 11 to 20.
Approach
What we did
- Moved the navigation and footer into the server-rendered HTML so every internal link is visible on first crawl, rebuilt the sitemap from the pages that actually exist, and fixed the blog index so all 42 articles are linked. Orphaned pages went from eleven to none.
- Re-optimised the homepage and every city page against Search Console data, rewriting titles, descriptions and hero copy around the emergency searches (spoed, nood) people type when they are locked out.
- Rebuilt the reviews section from 72 verbatim Google reviews, with the rating markup tied to the real Google Business Profile total of 4.9 from 147 reviews.
- Connected the verified Google Business Profile to the site's LocalBusiness schema and contact page, so the website and the map listing describe the same business.
